Update: 11 July 2008
New Commuter Timetables and Routes

We have made some necessary changes to our commuter service timetables and routes.

The new timetables come into effect on Monday 14 July 2008.

If you're a regular commuter you may find your journey has changed slightly, although we've done our best to offer a schedule that suits the majority of our clients. You'll be pleased to know we have NOT changed the fares.

Please visit our Commuter page for full details.

Most of our clients will be largely unaffected by the changes. Some clients will find our new schedule more convenient, and some clients may unfortunately find it less convenient than before. If you are adversely affected by the changes we would like to apologise, and assure you the changes were only made after a great deal of thought, and with input from many regular commuters.

If you have any questions or comments about the new timetable, please don't hesitate to call us on 01474 322002, or visit our Contact page and send us a message.

FA Trophy Winner fans travel with Reliance

Ebbsfleet United, FA Carlsberg Trophy Winners 2008.Along with our sister company Redwing Coaches, we jointly supplied thirty coaches to take Ebbsfleet United supporters to their victorious FA Carlsberg Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on 10 May.

Ebbsfleet United, based at Northfleet in Gravesend, is Gravesend's local team and of the forty thousand attendance at Wembley an estimated twenty five thousand made their way from the Gravesend area.

Ebbsfleet beat opponents Torquay 1 - 0, the single goal occurring just before half time. Ironically Ebbsfleet's winning goal was scored by Chris McPhee, who last season played as striker for opponents Torquay.

The coach transfer was smooth and efficient, resulting in a great day out for the Ebbsfleet fans on their first trip to Wembley.

We are expert at organising large scale, time-critical transfers like this. Just give us a call on 01474 322002 for the full details.

Wheelchair accessible coaches with Reliance Travel

Reliance Travel Iveco Beulas EuroRider C45 with wheelchair liftAll twelve of our new Iveco Beulas EuroRider C45 luxury coaches are fully accessible to passengers in wheelchairs.

A hydraulic chairlift platform lifts the passenger, in their wheelchair and with an attendant, up to a large door in the side of the coach at floor level for easy access. There is space for one passenger seated in their wheelchair for the duration of the journey.

In addition, passengers with wheelchairs who are able to transfer to coach seats once they have entered the coach via the chairlift can also be accommodated. Several passengers with wheelchairs can be accommodated in this way. Once in their seats, the wheelchairs are folded and stored in the coach's main luggage compartment. There are some restrictions - please see our Coach Hire page for more details.

The new wheelchair accessible facility has already proved very popular and passengers in wheelchairs have travelled all over the country with us in the last few weeks.

Our photo (right) shows the chairlift ready for use.

Just give us a call on 01474 322002 if you have any questions about our wheelchair accessible coaches.

2,000 children and 64 coaches

Reliance Travel masterminded a huge transfer in central London in March. We organised, scheduled and co-ordinated the delivery of well over 2,000 schoolchildren in 64 coaches to the Royal Albert Hall. They were taking attending the Camden School Music Festival, organised biannually by the London Borough of Camden. And when the show was finished we took them all home again.

Operations like this take a lot of forward planning and require tight, hands-on supervision on the day. It's not a job for amateurs or small operators. With decades of experience and many similar operations under our belts this is the kind of challenge we thrive on.

If you need to move a lot of people all at once, and you want it done properly, give us a call on 01474 322002.

Theatre Trips with door to door transport

A luxury Reliance Travel coachSeeing a play or a show at the theatre is always enjoyable. But the journey there and back is often a nightmare. Driving there yourself and getting lost, not being able to park, not being able to have a glass of wine or a gin and tonic. Trying to meet up with friends with frantic text messages. Or being at the mercy of train timetables, bus routes or the London Underground.

It's all so different when you travel by private coach! Your group travels together. It's fun, it's sociable. Everyone arrives at the right place at the right time. No one gets lost. No one is late. No drink-driving concerns. We deliver you right to the theatre door. We collect you again at a time and place of your choosing and take you all home again.

What could be better? And it probably costs less than you think. All you need to do is find enough people to make it worthwhile. Give us a call on 01474 322002 and find out the cost for your date and destination. If you haven't hired a coach before we'll happily give you all the advice and help you need to organise a perfect evening out.

Coach travel 'less stressful' than train, air or car

A recent survey concludes that coach travel is the least stressful way of getting to a holiday destination.

People travelling by coach are more likely to remain relaxed throughout their journey than those travelling by air, train or car.

Four families travelling from Britain to Disneyland Paris were fitted with heart rate monitors for the survey, carried out by travel magazine TTG and a holiday operator. Readings were taken before the trip and then every thirty minutes.

Perhaps surprisingly, train travel had the greatest effect on blood pressure, with air travel rated the next most stressful. Car drivers also suffered, but the pulse rate of the coach passengers was relatively untroubled, rising only while waiting for the coach to arrive and when fumbling for travel documents before the trip started.

Well, now you know! Come and relax on a luxury Reliance Travel coaches. Don't 'let the train take the strain' - it sends your pulse rate soaring even more!

Give us a call on 01474 322002 to discuss your next trip.

Winter commuting? More comfort and convenience with Reliance coaches

The winter months are miserable for commuters - dark and cold when you wake up; dark and cold when you leave work.

We can help make it more bearable. Instead of trekking all the way to the railway station to catch a train, why not catch one of our luxury commuter coaches departing from a street near your home? Chances are, we can drop you off nearer your workplace in London, too.

Now wouldn't that be a big improvement? A better way to start the day? A comfortable seat on a clean, climate-controlled luxury coach. And in the evening we'll drop you off nearer your home, too. Less hassle. Less stress.

Check out the detailed timetables in our Commuting section to find your nearest departure point. We have an extensive choice of pickup points on all our routes.

Our range of season tickets brings the prices tumbling down, but to start with why not buy a daily or weekly ticket and put us to the test?

Update: 25 January 2008
Commuter coach price increase

From Monday 28 January 2008 our fares will be going up.

It's two years since we last increased our commuter coach fares. We try to keep our fares as competitive as possible, but we have to take into consideration the steady increase in our operating costs. For example, the cost of diesel has risen by over 25% in the last year.

Despite the increase, our fares still represent incredible value for money, especially if you buy one of our six monthly or annual Season Tickets. With an annual Season Ticket your weekly travel cost works out at under £35 per week.

If you have any questions or comments about our tickets and fares, please don't hesitate to contact us on 01474 322002.
