Two new coaches join Reliance fleet
We've just added two beautiful 2006 registered Volvo coaches to our fleet. The new coaches are luxuriously equipped with 49 comfortable reclining seats, a convenient WC/washroom, hot and cold drinks facility, panoramic windows with double glazing and curtains, a high quality DVD system and full air conditioning.
They've been out on the road for a few weeks now and we've put them through their paces. And the verdict? The drivers love them and so do our passengers - the feedback has been very complimentary.

Christmas/New Year Commuter Coach Schedule 2006/7
We run a modified commuter coach schedule between Gravesend and London during the Christmas and New Year period.
You'll find full details in our Commuter section. Please make sure you check whether your journey will be affected. If you have any further questions about your journey please don't hesitate to contact us as soon as possible.
Our office opening hours also change during the Christmas/New Year break, so please make sure you buy the tickets you require as soon as possible.

Don't stay at work any longer than you need to on Friday 22nd December.
We have special early afternoon departures at 13.00 and 15.00 on Friday 22nd to whizz you back home in time to put your feet up, grab a glass of sherry and wrap a few presents.

Christmas in January?
Christmas parties in January have many advantages.
Increasing numbers of companies are holding their Christmas Parties in January.

You never have to stand on Reliance's commuter coach service. Everyone gets a seat.
Train commuters are often forced to stand for the entire journey to or from London. Why do they do it? Packed like sardines, staring into a stranger's ear for an hour or more. At every station people jostle to get on and off. Delays and mysterious stops add to the misery. High temperatures and wet weather make it worse. Tempers fray and stress levels rocket.
After a hard day in the office why would anyone endure that ordeal, day in and day out for years on end?
Well we don't know, to be honest. It's not like that on our Gravesend-London commuter coaches, that's for sure.

Reliance transfers 2,000 school children to the Albert Hall

Yesterday we transported more than 2,000 school children from schools across Camden in 51 coaches to the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington for their biannual Jazz Festival, organised by Camden Council.
Reliance Travel, as main contractor and project manager, provided coaches and handled all the forward planning and administration, dealing with Camden Council, the Royal Albert Hall and local traffic officials to ensure an efficient and trouble free operation. We also selected and supervised a number of sub-contractors who supplied additional coaches.
The transfer was a great success, with thousands of budding young musicians ending up in the right place at the right time.
We have considerable experience with this type of large scale, time critical transfer. It's not the type of project you would entrust to any old coach company - military precision and strong project management skills are essential for success.

New prices from Monday 23 January 2006
It's two years and nine months since we last increased our commuter fares. Our costs have gone up appreciably during that time, with diesel being one of the biggest increases. We've tried to maintain our commuter prices but we've now found it necessary to increase them. This increase will be approximately 4% for most of our customers, which works out at an average annual increase of about 1.4% since our last price increase at the end of April 2003.
For a passenger using a Monthly ticket this means an increase of about 32 pence per return trip to London, or about 25 pence per return trip for an Annual ticket.
The new price increase will commence on Monday 23 January 2006. You can buy commuter tickets at the old prices until 11.45am on Saturday 21 January 2006. You'll find full details in our Commuter section.
